Bodo has a world-famous aviation museum at their new (under construction) airport. Because the country is so mountainous there are few highways and railroads, thus aviation has been central to the development of the economy, similar to Alaska. The museum is fabulous... with planes on the ground and hanging from every era. Below is a typical WW2 crash scene of a German plane after being shot down over the mountains. It was a real German bomber in a very realistic setting. Bodo was bombed to the ground during the war. There is no love for Germans here in Norway, but they reserve their real fear and dislike for the Russian navy which is always cruising around just off shore. They have excellent relations with neighboring Sweden.
